Indian Flour Moth

Characteristics :

  1. The wingspan is about 14 – 20mm.
  2. One third of the forewing is cream.
  3. The other wings are copper with dark gray dots.
  4. Larvae are yellowish white.

Life cycle : The stage of egg to adult takes 27 days

Habit :

  1. Often found in wheat germ, flour, peanuts, and dried fruit.
  2. Leaving woven tape and frass or flour in areas of infected pest activity
