Mosquitoes are insects in the order Diptera, from the class Insecta. Mosquitoes have two scaly wings, a slender body and six long legs. Mosquitoes go through four stages in their life cycle, namely egg, larva, pupa and adult. They are spread in various environments because of their easy way of life, this is what causes mosquitoes to become dangerous blood-sucking insects. Many very dangerous diseases are caused by the bite of a mosquito, one of which is Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever or often called DHF.

Dengue fever is one of the most dangerous diseases and has a high mortality rate in Indonesia. So what is the difference between dengue fever and other diseases?

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever or DHF is an acute febrile illness for 2-7 days with two or more manifestations such as headache, pain behind the eyes, joint pain and vomiting blood. DHF is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus and is transmitted through mosquitoes.

how to Control the Mosquito

1. Cleaning and monitoring the surrounding environment, this will certainly be very important in controlling and cleaning mosquito nests, such as making sure there are no puddles of water around the house that are not useful and providing lighting in dark places in the building due to the habit of mosquitoes that like to hide in places dark. Make sure there are not many lush plants that can be used as a resting place for mosquitoes.
2. Biological control, this control requires the help of groups of bacteria, predators such as fish with the aim of eating mosquito larvae.
3. Hoarding piles of used cans, or containers that can hold puddles of water, this activity really needs to be considered, because mosquitoes have a habitat to live in puddles of water.
